Gem Unc (14: 4,5,5) RD. One of the craziest die varieties in the world! The wide off-center clash on the reverse has had collectors scratching their heads trying to figure this coin out. It was ultimately properly attributed in my Attribution Guide. The clash was put on the die BEFORE the hub was impressed. It was blank when someone clanged together a finished die onto the conical face of the blank die. The subsequent hubbing pushed the design and the clash into the die together. This is one of the finest examples of this very popular variety!
