Very Good (9: 3,3,3) This is a very tough doubled die reverse the coin is an attractive chocolate brown and has all the letters of LIBERTY partially visible. That is the definition for a FINE. There are a few old scratches, but nothing significant. This is part of “Ned’s 1865 DDR collection.” This was a 25-year endeavor to buy this very rare variety. It is rarer than the 1873 Doubled LIBERTY and is similar rarity of the 1888/7. The doubling is very bold.Â
